Natural, relaxed, images
If you’re looking for posed studio images with a glaring flash, hot lights and forced smiles, I’m afraid I can’t help. My portraits are relaxed, informal shots that bring out people’s real personalities, whether they’re full of cheek and mischief or a little bit coy. The best way to do that is to shoot in a location where you feel comfortable, whether that’s in the park, on the beach, at home or somewhere else that’s special to you.
Somewhere comfortable
Before I do a portrait shoot I’ll take time to find out exactly what you’re looking for and how you want to use the images. Once I know what you’re looking for I’ll design a no obligation package for you (prices for portrait shoots start at £75). If you want to go ahead, we’ll then decide on a location together – I can suggest some places or you can choose. We can also meet so you or whoever’s being photographed feel comfortable with me.
Forget the camera
I adapt to suit each person, but usually start with some fun shots so everyone feels at ease. I might ask you to feed the ducks, make a sandcastle or something similar so you’re concentrating on enjoying yourself rather than the camera. Many clients who thought they’d hate having their photo taken find they love it on the day!
Your private online gallery
After the shoot I’ll put your images in an online, password protected gallery so you can choose your favourite shots and show them to family and friends.
